Stremio is three things in two places. The app and its server are on your Mac; the addon, Torrentio, is a website somewhere else. Your Mac keeps only its address.
The app sends Torrentio the film’s IMDb ID (Big Buck Bunny: tt1254207). Torrentio finds; it never fetches. It answers with streams, each one a torrent’s fingerprint.
